Content Policy

Scope

This Content Policy applies to all individuals and entities accessing or using BestVid (https://bestvid.net), operated by BestVid. It governs all inputs and outputs processed on the platform, including text prompts, reference images, source videos, parameter settings, and generated media assets. By using BestVid, you agree to comply with this policy at all times. BestVid is provided as a general-audience creative tool and maintains strict content standards to preserve safety, integrity, and lawful use across all generation workflows.

Forbidden Content

BestVid strictly prohibits the creation, generation, upload, storage, or distribution of sexually explicit, abusive, or unlawful material. Users may not submit prompts or reference media intended to produce, or reasonably likely to produce, any of the following categories:

1. Adult Sexual Content and Pornography: BestVid is not an adult platform and bans sexually explicit generations, pornography, and overt erotic material.
2. Sexualization of Minors: Any sexualization, exploitation, or suggestive depiction of minors or individuals who appear to be under the age of 18. This applies to realistic, animated, stylized, fictional, and generated depictions. If the apparent age is unclear, the content is forbidden.
3. Non-Consensual Intimate Imagery: Intimate or sexually explicit depictions of a real person created, modified, or shared without that person's authorization, including synthetic or AI-modified media. Adult sexual content remains prohibited on BestVid even if a depicted adult is said to have consented.
4. Unauthorized Likeness: Using a real person's identifiable face or likeness without authorization, including for sexualized, deceptive, defamatory, fraudulent, or harassing purposes.
5. Violence, Hate, and Illegal Activity: Extreme gratuitous violence, self-harm instruction, hate targeting protected characteristics, and other illegal activity.

Safety Checks

BestVid employs automated multi-stage safety screening before and after generation to help prevent prohibited content:

1. Pre-generation text screening: Submitted text—including generation prompts, negative prompts, and other request text—is first checked against a list of blocked terms. If it passes, the text is screened by automated third-party safety screening for NSFW and policy violations. The blocked-term list is not an exhaustive catalog of all prohibited categories.
2. Pre-generation input image screening: Input or reference images (including last-frame images) submitted via HTTPS URLs undergo automated third-party safety screening. Uploaded files are also verified for allowed file type and size.
3. Post-generation output screening: After generation finishes and before any resulting image or video is stored at a public URL or displayed to the user, the finished output undergoes automated third-party safety screening.
4. Fail-closed operation: If automated safety screening is unavailable, missing configuration, times out, or returns an error or incomplete result, generation does not proceed.
5. Credit handling: If a request is blocked during pre-generation screening before credits are reserved, no credits are deducted. If a finished output is blocked during post-generation screening, the generation job is marked as failed and reserved credits are refunded to your account.

Automated screening reduces risk but does not guarantee that every violation is detected. BestVid does not manually review every file, and we reserve the right to review, remove, or restrict access to any content following a user report. Enforcement

BestVid may enforce this policy through actions proportionate to the violation, including:

• Blocking a generation request
• Removing or restricting access to content
• Temporarily suspending or terminating accounts
• Reporting to competent authorities when required by law

We do not promise that every violation is detected automatically, or that every account action happens instantly.
