BestVid ("we," "our," or "us") operates the website and AI-powered video and image generation service located at https://bestvid.net (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect your personal information when you access or use our platform.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information directly from you, automatically through your use of the Service, and through authorized third-party authentication and payment providers.
A. Authentication and Account Information
When you register or log in to BestVid, you do so via third-party OAuth authentication providers (Google and GitHub). We do not collect or store your third-party account passwords. Through these providers, we collect and store:
- Full name / display name
- Email address
- Profile image / avatar URL
B. User Inputs, Configuration Data, and Uploads
To facilitate AI generation, we collect and store:
- Generation prompts and negative prompts
- Model settings and parameters (for example, aspect ratio, resolution, duration)
- Uploaded source files used as generation inputs
C. Generated Media
AI-generated images and videos created as outputs of your generation requests, together with job status and provider task identifiers.
D. Billing and Transaction Records
When you purchase subscriptions or credits:
- Payments are processed directly by our third-party payment processor, Stripe.
- BestVid does not collect or store full credit or debit card numbers, expiration dates, or security codes.
- BestVid retains Stripe customer IDs, subscription or checkout identifiers, active plan type, and credit balances.
E. Customer Inquiries and Support Communications
If you contact us at support@bestvid.net, we collect your email address, message contents, and any attachments or technical details you provide.
2. Infrastructure, Media Storage, and Public URLs
A. Cloudflare Hosting and Network
The Service is hosted and protected using Cloudflare infrastructure. Cloudflare may process standard networking logs (such as IP addresses, request timestamps, and similar technical data) to maintain network security and performance.
B. Cloudflare R2 Storage and Public Media URLs
User-uploaded input files and generated outputs are stored on Cloudflare R2. Output files are assigned publicly accessible URLs to enable playback and download. Anyone who has the direct URL can view or download the file.
3. Third-Party AI Generation
To provide generative features, generation requests are sent to Evolink. Your prompts, model configurations, and relevant input media URLs are transmitted so Evolink can produce the requested output. Historical records may also include Replicate task identifiers.
For safety and content policy enforcement, prompts, negative prompts, and relevant media URLs (such as input/reference image URLs and finished output files) are also sent to SeeAPI (seeapi.com) for automated NSFW and safety screening before generation and before any finished file is made public. If automated safety screening is unavailable, generation does not proceed.
4. Cookies, Session Management, and Preferences
- Session cookies: used to authenticate your identity and keep you signed in.
- Preference cookie (
NEXT_LOCALE): stores your selected language. - Additional analytics technologies are described in our Cookie Policy.
5. Analytics and Usage Measurement
- Umami at umami.bestvid.net: first-party analytics for page views and similar aggregate metrics.
- Microsoft Clarity: interaction metrics used to find usability issues.
- Google Analytics: when configured, collects aggregate traffic measurements.
6. Email Communications and Newsletter
We use your registered email for operational notices such as account, billing, credit, and policy messages. Upon registering an account, your email may be automatically subscribed to product announcements. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in those emails or by writing to support@bestvid.net.
7. No Sale of User Content as a Dataset
BestVid does not sell, rent, or license your prompts, uploaded files, or generated media as a training dataset to third parties. Your data is shared with infrastructure and processing partners described in this policy (including Cloudflare, Evolink, SeeAPI, Stripe, and the analytics tools named above) in order to operate the Service.
8. Data Security and Retention
We use HTTPS in transit and store media on Cloudflare R2. We retain account information, credit history, prompts, and generated media while your account remains active, or longer if needed for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention duties.
9. Access and Deletion Requests
You may request access to or deletion of personal information we hold by emailing support@bestvid.net. We review verified requests in accordance with applicable law.
10. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy by posting a revised version on this page with a new effective date.
